Answers to the common snags — sign-in codes, share links, file limits, email rendering, and more.
Common snags and how to clear them. If something here doesn't cover it, reach us at support@htmlol.lol.
My sign-in code didn't arrive
Wait a minute and check your spam folder. Still nothing? Request a fresh code, and double-check the email address — use "Use a different email" if you mistyped it. The code is six digits and verifies as soon as you enter the last one. More in Signing in.
My share link asks for a password / says it expired
That link was published with protection. A password prompt means you need the password the sender set (sent separately from the link). "This link has expired" means its expiry date has passed — ask the sender for a fresh link. See Passwords & expiry.
I can't share, or hit a file limit
Sharing and higher file counts are paid features. Free includes 3 files and no sharing; Basic adds sharing and 30 files/month; Premium is unlimited and can update existing links. If you've hit a wall, the editor will point you to upgrade. Details in Plans & billing.
My email looks broken in Gmail/Outlook
Email clients strip modern CSS (flexbox, grid, position) and some image formats. Run Check compatibility in Live view to find the specific culprits and suggested fixes. Start from an email-safe template and keep important text as real text. See Email-client checks.
Split view is missing
Split needs room for two panes, so it's hidden on phones. On a small screen, switch between Code and Preview instead. See Editor views.
Will I lose my work?
Your page lives in your browser as you edit. To keep a copy you can export the HTML, publish a share link, or — on Premium — save it to the cloud so it follows you across devices. If you're on the free tier, export anything you want to keep long-term.
A billing question
Manage your plan from the account menu → Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription (payment details, plan changes, cancellation). Receipts come from Stripe. Anything else: support@htmlol.lol.
