Templates & starting points
Begin from an announcement email, a newsletter, or a landing page instead of a blank file.
You don't have to start from a blank file. HTMLOL ships with three head-start templates so you can open something real and edit from there.
The starters
- Announcement email — a clean, email-safe layout for a single message or update.
- Newsletter — a multi-section layout with room for stories, links, and a footer.
- Landing page — a simple marketing page with a hero, a few sections, and a call to action.
Starting from a template
On the welcome screen, scroll to "Or steal a head start" and pick one. It loads straight into the editor as a normal page — edit the text, restyle it, swap images, and make it yours. Templates are a starting point, not a lock-in: everything is plain HTML you can change however you like.
The Announcement and Newsletter starters are written to render well in email clients. Pair them with the compatibility checker before you send to catch anything your own edits might have broken.
Other ways to begin
Templates are one of four ways in. You can also Start blank, Open file (an .html from your computer), or Paste HTML from anywhere. See the Quickstart.
